katie + andrew

I've known Katie since high school. She had to suffer through sitting next to me in choir. Girl - I've heard my voice. I'm just going to apologize right now. I, on the other hand, got to sit next to a girl with an insanely gorgeous voice. Guys, if you've never heard her sing, you're missing out. She has the type of sound you just don't forget. (She's also hilarious, down to earth and has incredible taste.)

This day three years ago, I got to photograph her wedding.

I knew her wedding was going to be lovely but I hadn't the slightest clue just how perfect it was going to be. Let me just let you all know that Katie was WAY ahead of all of us when it comes to wedding trends. She wore a blush colored gown with curls down her back. Her ring is rose gold with a perfect pink stone. (Yeah... I had to have one after I saw hers.) She hung stringed lights from anything that would stand still. Every detail was personal and one of a kind. An antique table sat at the end of the aisle with the most perfect hydrangeas nestled in a vase on top. Guests sat in vintage, wooden folding chairs. Every where you looked, she had carefully planned it all. And the vibes? Close your eyes and picture the most luscious, shaded back yard filled with people laughing, glasses clinking, kids playing and the perfect songs playing. It was hard to leave. The night concluded with fireworks over the pond (and my most favorite picture ever!). Happy Anniversary, friends!
